As a Content Writer at Verto you’ll report directly to our VP of Growth but the impact of this role will be felt across the entire business. You’ll work cross functionally to ensure our content will generate more leads, support customers during discovery, and contribute to building a brand that customers and our internal team love. You'll have a chance to experiment with different types of written content and to identify and scale the most promising opportunities.
Success in this role requires the ability to manage complexity, balance priorities and deliver impact through clear actionable plans. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where you’re constantly collaborating with others and working together to get things done. This role requires a forward-thinker with the ability to work proactively, always striving to make content both more compelling for our customers and bringing us towards our goals as a business. We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight.
What you will be doing
Creating and executing an engaging and lead-generating content strategy for key audiences and verticals.
Partnering with the marketing and sales teams to develop unique, engaging solution-oriented content that maintains brand and product standards, voice and style.
Proactively inputting into the overall marketing strategy and making suggestions on where we can change the status quo through content.
Carrying out content, user and thematic research to inform content decisions.
Taking a test and learn approach to new ideas, ensuring that we’re always driven by data and impact.
Leveraging subject matter experts within the business and externally to drive and scale the production of compelling content.
Liaising with teams across Growth and Marketing to align to business objectives and ensure that content delivered is commercially strategic.
Strong copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills with at least 2 years in a similar role; ideally in financial services or fintech
Experience in writing copy for different B2B audiences and products
Able to translate technical information into compelling written copy
Able to research and learn about new/unfamiliar topics
Creatively-driven but data-backed – you have a passion for creative content, but you root yourself in data so that you know when you’ve had an impact.
Good organisational skills, managing multiple written tasks, and delivering to a deadline
Demonstrated success in writing for different formats and media, adapting your writing style accordingly
