We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to help us expand our customer base and grow revenue in Nigeria. In this role, you will be expected to achieve key milestones such as identifying and closing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and contributing to the success of our sales team. You will play a critical role in advancing Verto’s mission by providing innovative payment and liquidity solutions to businesses across Nigeria.
In this role you will:
- Generate Leads: Identify and prospect potential clients in key sectors such as trade, logistics, and SMBs to expand Verto’s footprint in Nigeria.
- Close Sales: Achieve measurable sales targets by converting leads into active customers and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to position Verto effectively.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Sales Manager, marketing, and product teams to align efforts and deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Maintain Sales Pipeline: Use CRM tools to track and manage opportunities, ensuring an accurate and organised pipeline.
- Deliver Presentations: Represent Verto during client meetings, events, and presentations to showcase our solutions.
- Provide Feedback: Communicate customer insights and feedback to internal teams to improve products and processes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets and revenue goals.
- Maintaining a high conversion rate from leads to signed customers.
- Keeping the CRM system updated with accurate sales data and pipeline activities.
- Representing Verto’s brand and values in all client interactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or related industries.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and business landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage leads and track performance.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
